           Among the services provided by this new technology is the possibility to export any data from the controller in a familiar format and easy to manipulate by anyone. Excel and XML files can also be generated by the controller and automatically sent directly to a network folder via an FTP server embedded in the product. Moreover, we can go further. The XL family controllers can connect directly to an existing database and start writing process data without any additional device or software.

           There are several advantages to this architecture, the direct connection, no additional software or communication drivers are required, not even additional computers. The easy way to integrate these booth worlds together with the cost-benefit advantages of the solution makes this reality possible. The value of the investment required to bring process information to the management level becomes much smaller when the shop floor architecture contains an embedded connection solution.
