Attending DistribuTECH, an event focused on the energetic market, Fábio Pfeiffer says that the use of new technologies is already a reality but there is still a lot to do in this conservative segment.
NOVUS finished its participation in DistribuTECH, an event dedicated on the energetic sector. Fábio Pfeiffer, NOVUS’ Brazilian Market Manager, explains that the energy market is quite conservative and power distribution networks still similar to what they were 100 years ago, when electricity began to be applied. However, this industry is also undergoing a digital transformation: "DistribuTECH has shown that we are in full transition. Power networks are now equipped with sensors capable of reporting conditions of use, anticipating problems and thus avoiding failures. We are going in this direction, but there is still a lot to be done” says Pfeiffer. Among NOVUS products that can contribute to this process, he mentions the data loggers LogBox Connect and Fieldlogger working with sensors, collecting data in real time and integrating software platforms for operation of power distributors.
The large number of DistribuTECH participants proves that the electricity segment is in the spotlight. Pfeiffer highlights the strong presence of Brazil, with representatives of the country's main energy distributors.
