Loop-Powered Current Isolators

Automation is not only a matter of efficiency. It also involves the need to increase the security and longevity of the operation. Reducing measurement errors in installations subject to electrical potential differences means protecting employees and equipment from possible damage.


TxIsoLoop-1 and TxIsoLoop-2 simplify your application and avoid the undesirable ground loops by providing single and dual loop galvanic isolation. The 0/4-20 mA input is measured and an identical isolated signal is reproduced at the output. Power is drawn from the 0(4)-20 mA input loop, thus no auxiliary power or an external power supply is need.

 

Recommended for electrical grids where the electric potential difference is a major risk, the TxIsoLoop galvanic isolator works on up to 2 isolated channels and eliminates ground loops, which ensures accuracy and signal safety.

 

By using the TxIsoLoop from NOVUS, the isolation does not need its own power supply. The energy obtained by the passage of electric current through the isolator input actively produces the output current. This accessory, which is indispensable for industrial environments such as sugar and alcohol processing or petrochemicals, operates with a response time of only 2 ms.
